The Weber IDF dual-throat downdraft carburetor is an excellent choice for many racing applications ranging from small Italian sports cars to modified VW-based engines. This carburettor has not got a starting mechanism (choke) fitted, but is fitted with a blanking plate instead, which makes it ideal for fitting to VW aircooled engines as it avoids clearance issues with the fan housing.
