Best detailed Merkava IV kit in the market. Moulding quality is excellent with detail is extremely sharp. PE brass parts on the grill, engine net, armor parts, ball chain, and more.

Vision blocks, Episcopes, and the panoramic sight lens are provided on clear parts. Applique armor features recessed lines and lovely raised details including bolt heads, tie-downs, and latches.

The upper hull with a lot of the detail integrated. The turret is with busy vehicle equipment details. Add on Trophy Windbreaker Active Protection System with great details. The barrel is a multi-part and looks very good. 50 cal and the loader's MAG machine gun are very well done.

Impressive ball and chain armor hanging from the rear of the turret. The lower hull with suspension arms, return rollers, and spring details.

The rear hull storage racks are fair detail-wise Boat hull ventral armor plate covers motorization holes in the lower hull. The rear panel has the access clamshell doors as separate parts and can be displayed open or closed.

Suspension with the nicely detailed springs presented. The detail on the track links is very good. Side skirts with great details. Adding metal towing cable, on vehicle tools and many accessories. Buffing and polishing to remove mold seam. Base color with primer and putty for better surface detail. Airbrushed and painted with multicolor. Adding clear paint for good finishing on decal application. Washing to enhance the surface detail increases the appearance of depth including panels, doors, hatches, rivets, bolt heads, and more. Dry brushing to emphasize and highlight texture with an edge for good wear, tear, and fading.

Multi-color filters for blend color effects. Adding nonglossy paint for better finishing. The great detail paint job on rust and paint chips off with scratches, worn and bare metal realistic simulating, flow rust, and rain streaks effects, grease with staining appearing, engine smoking and muffler burned to represent. Final protective layer for long-term collection. The Merkava IV, for which development began in 1999, was first revealed in an October publication of Bamachaneh and put into service in 2004. This is the most recent addition to the series and is scheduled also for a scaled-down production. They include the modifications previously adopted on the BAZ and Dor Dalet, with the Mk.

The first major change came from the gun, the improved MG253, upgraded to fire the latest ammunition types, including the APFDS sabot ammunition. The 12.7 mm (0.5 in) main machine-gun is also improved and fires longer and heavier HE rounds. IV has the latest improvements of modular removable armour so far developed with the MkIIID, with the addition of the El-Op Knight Mk.

IV fire control system, capable to deal with air threats as well like AT helicopters. Coupled with Elbit BMS (Battle Management System), interaction and awareness of the battlefield are also greatly improved. Protection is increased on vulnerable parts for increasing urban warfare efficience, including to the turret roof, and the belly, in a "v" shape to cope with landmines and better deflecting the blast. Ammunition protection was also increased by giving a fireproof individual protection to all rounds, and removed for sensitive areas.

None is actually stored in the turret. To confuse enemy gunners, heat deflection systems are used, borrowed from the IAI Lavi development program. The Tracks, now of the TSAWS-type have also an improved durability of the harshest terrains. Laterly, the MkIV also displayed the Trophy active protection system, which is its latest upgrade. Replacement for the Merkava is not scheduled before 2020.
