Idf Zahal Arab Israel 1967 Six Day War Helmet Para WITH NET and Polish WZ-50

  

This is a steel helmet used by the Israeli Army, Israel Defence Forces (IDF / ZAHAL) Paratroopers during the 1967 Six Day War. It originally is a WWII Polish WZ-50 helmet which somehow made its way from Europe to the Middle East and Israel. Maybe with one of the immigrants to Israel after WWII or it could very much have been captured by the Idf from one of the Arab armies. At that time the Partroopers Brigade was the only Idf unit to use such a helmet.

The chin strap is intact. Please view the many photo's I took to evaluate the full condition. I will add a piece of old net of the type used those days from which you can easily prepare yourself a camo cover for the helmet.
