M1 IDF Kasda Helmet withComplete Norwegian Liner Leather Chin Strap Rear Seam

  

Israeli Defense Force Kasda M1 Helmet, full Norwegian liner, straps. Features Israeli-style 3-point leather insert chin strap with initials. Dark Drab Green with specks of red under-paint. Helmet has a rough surface. Liner is Dark Olive Green.

Rear facing seam on steel rim. Insert has leather head supports attached to webbing--the liner is in very good condition which could mean that the helmet had the liner replaced after the helmet was reissued. Have not removed insert to see any numbers, etc. Has a small dent in helmet.

Helmet has a lot of distress which is all original. Thanks to militaria1977 for the clarification on the helmet type. Possibly Korean War-era or Vietnam-era issued.

Made either at end of WWII and reissued for later conflict or made when manufacturing re-started up pre-Korea. How I obtained: Bought 20 years ago at a yard sale in Tucson AZ for my young son (just for dress up). Found in a closet where it has sat for very long time. No idea where it originated or to whom the initials belong.
