Nimrod 6x40 Scope, Israel Defense Forces (IDF) Sniper Scope M14, Gali, Mauser K98. The Nimrod 6x40 rifle scope is a rare item of Israeli military surplus made by Koor Industries of Israel and originally by Hakko of Japan. The Nimrod scope was used mainly on the M and Gali sniper rifles and replaced the old style Heerbrug Wild scopes used on the IDF K98.

A tough high quality and collectable scope. I compared it to a similar era Swarovski, at last light and there was nothing between them in clarity and light gathering. Not at all fussy about eye relief and a very easy to use uncluttered range finding reticle.

This is the best period correct, military issue scope you will ever find for your k98. Or of course, to correctly scope the other 7.62 IDF marksman rifles this scope was issued for.

This scope has been little used and well looked after. Normally they have been hard used. Only reason it is for sale is that I'm raising funds for a field.

It has nearly all of its original finish, with just a few tiny marks to the finish. The glass and mechanics are perfect and work as they should. The extendable sunshade is smooth and the original screw in amber filter is present.
